Welcome to the AOAC Website!
The Adur Outdoor Activities Centre, situated on the banks of the River Adur at Shoreham, offers a wide range of outdoor and adventure activities for young people from school, college & youth groups. There are residential, social and conference facilities available for groups. Adult groups and individuals can also be accommodated on many of the above activities, and we can arrange corporate days out and training events and programmes.

Climbing Walls

The Centre Climbing Walls offers over 350m2 of climbing - full details are on the Climbing page. Rockhoppers is a Junior Climbing Club which runs nine times a week for young people between the ages of 8 - 17 years. Sessions are on every day of the week after school hours and at weekends. Residential Accommodation

We also have residential accommodation for up to 18 people. The Centre is also available as a venue for meetings, training courses, and there are catering and refreshment facilities on-site.

School Holiday Programmes

We organise activities for young people during most school holidays periods and details are available approximately 4 to 5 weeks before the holiday. The Extreme programme, organised in partnership with Adur District Council & Adur Youth Team is run during the Summer holiday period. Please see the Holidays page for details.

Group parties

If you have a special occasion, a birthday maybe, coming up, why not celebrate with a fun session at the Adur Centre. Activities could include Climbing, Raft building, Mountain Biking, Canoeing, Kite-making, Low Ropes Course and Team Challenge sessions. These can be tailored for many age groups.

The Centre has a social area with kitchen and servery and many party groups opt for using these facilities for a birthday party celebration with food after the activity session.

School / College/ Group Activities

Duke of Edinburgh's Award

The Centre can provide Duke of Edinburgh's Award expedition training and assessments in water-based craft, for each level of the Award Scheme.
