Walking

The South Downs is a fabulous area for taking groups on walks. There is much to see in the area close to the Centre. This Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) which is destined to become a National Park in the near future is steeped in history, with Bronze Age fort sites, fauna & flora galore and fantastic sea views.

Another popular walk takes in the harbour at Shoreham, which has a long history as a working port. Other local interesting places include Shoreham Airport, adjacent to the Centre, the oldest working airport in the country, dating from 1910.
